We are located on the South West Corner of Appleby Line and Upper Middle Road. In the medical building next door to the Harvey’s and Swiss Chalet. Norman Mele

AU.D., AUD(C), REG. CASLPO DOCTOR OF AUDIOLOGY, CO-OWNER

  • Bio

    Norman graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1993 with a Master of Science Degree (M.Sc.) in Communication Disorders – Audiology. 


    Norman joined Montcalm Audiology & Hearing Aid Services Ltd. in February 2004 and has been practicing Audiology for more than the past 25 years. 


    In October 2007 he earned his Doctor of Audiology Degree (Au.D.) having completed his Professional Doctorate Degree studies at A.T. Still University in Arizona.

Jennifer Candundo

M.CL.SC. REG. CASLPO, AUDIOLOGIST

  • Bio

    Jennifer earned her Bachelor's degree in Hearing Sciences from Brock University and her Masters of Clinical Sciences (Audiology) at the University of Western Ontario. Jennifer has over 25 years of hearing aid experience as she is a hearing aid user herself. She also has three young children that also have hearing loss. She has worked in a variety of clinical and hospital settings. Jennifer joined us in 2014 following her maternity leave. She now works at the Burlington Sense of Hearing location part-time, providing audiological assessments, hearing aid tests and prescriptions, hearing aid fittings, hearing aid verification, and earwax removal. Jennifer has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of children.

Amy McInnis

HEARING INSTRUMENT SPECIALIST

  • Bio

    Amy joined Sense of Hearing Burlington North location in March of 2019 after graduating from the Hearing Instrument Specialist program at George Brown College. She previously earned her honors Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University, studying in the Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour department.  Now working as a Hearing Instrument Specialist at our Burlington and Toronto locations.

Sarah Macdonald

M. CL SC., B.Sc. REG CASLPO, AUDIOLOGIST

  • Bio

    Sarah earned her Master of Clinical Science (Audiology) from the University of Western Ontario. She is continuing her studies as a Doctoral Candidate for her Doctor of Audiology degree from A. T. Stills University in Arizona. Sarah has worked with all age groups in hospital and private clinic settings and is a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.


    Sarah has been working with hearing aids for many years as she volunteered with the Canadian International Hearing Services to repurpose donated hearing aids and distribute them in the Caribbean with her Grandfather. 

    She has also completed research with Phonak and Baycrest Hospital to understand how hearing amplification works with Alzheimer's Dementia patients. She is a member of the Canadian Academy of Audiology where she presented her research in 2017 about obstacles that patients face when deciding to proceed with hearing amplification.


    She is a part of the team in Guelph and Burlington performing audiological assessments and prescribing, fitting, and verifying hearing amplification for adults and children. Sarah realizes the importance of brain health and hearing when it comes to hearing amplification and working with her patients as a team to best fit their hearing needs. She has been with Sense of Hearing since 2023.

Anne James

OFFICE MANAGER

    Anne joined the Sense of Hearing team in September 2012 and provides administrative and office management support for our Burlington clinic location.

Maryann Lawson

OFFICE MANAGER

  • Bio

    Maryann is no stranger to Sense of Hearing. She’s been with our office since October 2015 and after a short hiatus, has returned to our Burlington location. She has completed the Leadership Skills Certificate Program at University of Toronto. She has worked in the medical field for over 8 years and has brought her experience to us.
